According to the Section 28 of the Local Government Act, all inhabitants of the municipality have the right to make initiatives for the development of the operations of the municipality. The initiative must include information about the operation or service which the initiative seeks to develop. The initiative should not be mistaken with private inquiries or applications and requests.
The Registry Office of the City Chancellery marks an initiative as delivered and forwards it to the proper official who is responsible for the field of operations which the initiative concerns. A citizen, who has submitted an initiative, is notified about the official who processes this initiative and the citizen will receive an identification number, which he can use to enquire the process status of his initiative. The response to the initiative will be given as soon as the case is processed completely.
