Detailed description of the Good Practice

ECAT has developed several short-term environmental courses, i.e. “Environmental protection and safety for managers and engineers of enterprises”, “Environmental protection and safety for local authorities”, “Hazardous waste management” and one-day seminar on environmental education of managers and engineers of enterprises. The structure of the courses corresponds to interests of target groups. The topics and way of teaching are appropriate for practical needs of enterprises and municipal authorities. The overall goal of the ECAT’s educational activity is declining of negative industrial impact on environment in Kaliningrad and Kaliningrad oblast and increasing of the overall sustainability of the region.
The overall number of people whom have been educated by ECAT is more that 200 people. It is quite good number for relatively new activity. The responses from our students were very positive and inspiring. The participants evaluated our courses very high saying that the obtained information was very interesting and useful for their enterprises.
