Healthy Urban Planning - Helsingborg

Helsingborg

Detailed description of the Good Practice

City of Helsingborg, Sweden, decided to create the Healthy Urrban Planning programme. To make it happen, we have formed an intersectoral reference group. This reference group has worked with the issue: “This is healthy urban planning in Helsingborg for both urban planners and child care staff. We are now on to the next step i.e. to start forming a detailed plan of how to work with the core theme Healthy Urban planning.
The Civic Committees forming local development programmes based upon the opinions of the citizens and the officers working in the local area is an ongoing process. We have produced 10 local pro-grammes out of 40 so far.
We are also in the process of choosing two pilot-projects that are relevant and trying to have them monitored over time.
