Detailed description of the Good Practice

The city of Odense takes cycling seriously. The city has made major efforts to make cycling more popular and safe. The activities include e.g. (1) constructing 510 km high quality cycle baths with green wave for cyclists through junctions, electronic speed displays, route marking and 24 h clearing of ice and snow; (2) Cycle centre at the station with 800 free stands, music, video cameras and drinking fountain; (3) Campaigns to different population groups (4) Cycle route planner (5) Distributing free cycle lamps.
